Τέσσερα παιδιά πάνε να μείνουν με έναν γέρο καθηγητή στην επαρχία κατά τη διάρκεια του Δεύτερου Παγκόσμιου Πολέμου. Ο Χάρι επιστρέφει με τους φίλους του Ρόν Ουέσλι και Ερμιόνη Γκρέιντζερ για τον δεύτερο χρόνο τους στην σχολή μαγείας Χόγκουαρντς. Οι τρεις πρωταγωνιστές καλούνται να αντιμετωπίσουν μυστήρια τα οποία ακόμη και οι δάσκαλοι της σχολής μοιάζουν να φοβούνται να αντιμετωπίσουν. Υπάρχει πραγματικά μια Κάμαρα με Μυστικά κρυμμένη κάπου μέσα στο Χόγκουαρντς; Υπάρχει πραγματικά κάποιο τέρας εκεί μέσα; Ή μήπως το τέρας έχει ήδη δραπετεύσει και είναι υπεύθυνο για ότι συμβαίνει στους μαθητές; Οι απαντήσεις βρίσκονται στο παρελθόν, αλλά και στο παρόν και είναι στα χέρια των ηρώων μας να λύσουν και αυτό το μυστήριο.

O Χάρι Πότερ επιστρέφει στο Χόγκουαρντς και μαθαίνει ότι ο υπεύθυνος για την δολοφονία των γονιών του, ο μάγος Σείριος Μπλακ, έχει δραπετεύσει από τη φυλακή του Αζκαμπάν και θέλει να τον σκοτώσει. Τα πράγματα όμως μπορεί να μην είναι όπως φαίνονται.

Η τέταρτη χρονιά στη Σχολή Χόγκουαρτς προμηνύεται συναρπαστική και άκρως…σκοτεινή. Το Τρίαθλο Μαγείας αποτελεί τη νέα πρόκληση του νεαρού μάγου Χάρι Πότερ. Οι συμμετέχοντες αντιπροσωπεύουν τις τρεις βασικές σχολές μαγείας στην Ευρώπη. Και από το Χόγκουαρτς επιλέγονται ο Σέντρικ και ο Χάρι. Οι άθλοι είναι τρεις και δοκιμάζονται οι δυνατότητες των μικρών μάγων τόσο στη χρήση μαγείας όσο και στην ευφυΐα τους. Ο βαθμός δυσκολίας είναι μεγάλος. Ο κίνδυνος είναι απρόβλεπτος. Άραγε ο Χάρι Πότερ θα τα καταφέρει να βγει αλώβητος από αυτήν τη δοκιμασία;

Όσο αναζητά τους Πεμπτουσιωτές, ανακαλύπτει μια παλιά και σχεδόν ξεχασμένη ιστορία – τον θρύλο των Κλήρων του Θανάτου, ο οποίος αν αποδειχθεί ότι αληθεύει, μπορεί να χαρίσει στον Βόλντεμορτ την υπέρτατη δύναμη που αναζητά. Θα έρθει πιο κοντά από ποτέ στην αποστολή για την οποία προετοιμαζόταν στο Χόγκουαρτς, την ύστατη αναμέτρηση με τον Βόλντεμορτ.

Ο Χάρι Πότερ επιστρέφει για τον πέμπτο χρόνο των σπουδών του. Αυτή τη φορά, θα πρέπει να αντιμετωπίσει μια στρυφνή και μυστηριώδη καθηγήτρια, αλλά και να προετοιμάσει τους μαθητές για μια μάχη με τις σκοτεινές δυνάμεις.

Ο Χάρι Πότερ επιστρέφει στο Χόγκουαρντς για μια ακόμη χρονιά και μαθαίνει περισσότερα για το σκοτεινό παρελθόν του αγοριού, που μεγάλωσε και έγινε ο Λόρδος Βόλντεμορτ.
