Ο Τέντ Λόγκαν και ο Μπιλ Σ. Πρέστον κινδυνεύουν να χάσουν τη χρονιά τους και να μην πάρουν απολυτήριο αν δεν προετοιμάσουν σωστά την εργασία τους στην ιστορία. Ξαφνικά, ένας περίεργος τύπος, που ονομάζεται Ρούφους, έρχεται από το μέλλον μέσα σε ένα τηλεφωνικό θάλαμο και προσφέρεται να τους βοηθήσει, καθώς, απ`ότι λέει, οι ζωές και των δύο είναι πολύ σημαντικές για το μέλλον της ανθρωπότητας! Έτσι με τη βοήθεια του θαλάμου, που λειτουργεί ως μηχανή του χρόνου, ταξιδεύουν στο παρελθόν και συλλέγουν χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για την εργασία τους. Ταυτόχρονα όμως μπλέκουν και σε απίστευτες περιπέτειες!

Ένας ντράμερ -και πρώην ναρκομανής- βλέπει τη ζωή του να ανατρέπεται, όταν αρχίζει να χάνει την ακοή του. Κι ενώ η κατάστασή του επιδεινώνεται ολοένα και περισσότερο, θα στραφεί για βοήθεια σε μια θεραπευτική κοινότητα κωφών.

Στο μέλλον, η Νέα Υόρκη έχει γίνει κέντρο κακοποιών απ' όλο τον κόσμο και ένας σκληροτράχηλος οδηγός ταξί έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με μερικούς απ' αυτού, ενώ η κυβέρνηση σχεδιάζει να φέρει πτηνόμορφα όντα για να τους εξοντώσει.

Η συλλογή περιλαμβάνει το γνωστό, βραβευμένο ντοκιμαντέρ για τους Metallica και μια ταινία που ακολουθεί την πορεία του επιτυχημένου συγκροτήματος, 10 χρόνια μετά.

Είναι μια αυτοβιογραφική ταινία σχετικά με έναν 15χρονο που προσλαμβάνεται από το περιοδικό Ρόουλινγκ Στόουν για να ακολουθήσει και να πάρει συνέντευξη από ένα ροκ συγκρότημα κατά τη διάρκεια της περιοδείας τους. Η ταινία αναφέρεται στην ωριμότητα, την πρώτη αγάπη, την απογοήτευση και τη ζωή ενός ροκ σταρ.

Φανατικός οπαδός της heavy metal μουσικής ο ίδιος ο Dunn αλλά και με σπουδές κοινωνιολογίας – ανθρωπολογίας προσπαθεί με αυτό το ντοκιμαντέρ να απαντήσει στο ερώτημα γιατί η metal δέχεται τόσο μεγάλες επικρίσεις σε σχέση με οποιοδήποτε άλλο είδος μουσικής. Για να φτάσει βέβαια εκεί αρχίζει από τα πρώτα metal συγκροτήματα, εξετάζει τη συγγένεια αυτής της μουσικής με άλλες, τη σχέση της με τη θρησκεία, τη λογοκρισία, τα ντυσίματα και άλλα πολλά. Μέσα από αναλύσεις, συνεντεύξεις και στιγμιότυπα από συναυλίες προσπάθεί σε μιάμιση ώρα να εξετάσει το θέμα όσο πιο σφαιρικά γίνεται....

Ο Κρις Κολ γεννήθηκε για το ροκ. Η κοπέλα του, η Έμιλι, πιστεύει ότι μπορεί να πετύχει αλλά αυτός λατρεύει τον τραγουδιστή των Steel Dragon. Όταν η ευκαιρία θα δοθεί, ο Κρις θα την αρπάξει και βγαίνει στη σκηνή. Τραγουδάει σε ένα αφιέρωμα για τον συγκρότημα που αγαπάει και το κοινό τον αποθεώνει. Χωρίς να μπορεί να το πιστέψει, δέχεται τηλεφώνημα να αντικαταστήσει το ίνδαλμα του. Και χωρίς να το καταλάβει, έχει γίνει ο ίδιος ένα ίνδαλμα της ροκ.

Ο Γουέιν μπορεί ακόμα να μένει με τους δικούς του, αποκτά όμως εκπομπή στην τοπική τηλεόραση. Μαζί με τον κολλητό του, Γκαρθ, αναστατώνουν τα λιμνάζοντα νερά, αλλά γνωρίζουν και τον έρωτα.

Η Χάιντι, μια ξανθιά ροκού, ραδιοφωνικός παραγωγός στον τοπικό σταθμό, μαζί δύο Χέρμαν είναι οι «Big H Radio Team». Μια ημέρα στον σταθμό θα φτάσει ένα μυστηριώδες ξύλινο κουτί με έναν δίσκο βινυλίου, που γράφει «ένα δώρο από τους Λόρδους». Αρχικά ο δίσκος παίζει από μόνος του ανάποδα, προκαλώντας μια τραυματική εμπειρία στη Χάιντι. Όταν, όμως, τον παίζει ο ένας Χέρμαν, ο δίσκους παίζει κανονικά και γίνεται μεγάλη επιτυχία από τους ακροατές. Οι Λόρδοι στέλνουν κι άλλο υλικό που προλογίζει μια μεγάλη συναυλία. Αυτό που δεν γνωρίζουν είναι ότι οι Λόρδοι του Σάλεμ επιζητούν μονάχα αίμα.

O Chazz, ο Rex και ο Pip έχουν μία heavy metal μπάντα και προσπαθούν να τραβήξουν το ενδιαφέρον των μουσικών παραγωγών. Μέσα στην απελπισία τους, καταλαμβάνουν έναν ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό με ψεύτικα όπλα και τότε αρχίζουν τα πραγματικά τους προβλήματα.

O Mπρόντι, είναι ένα παιδι διαλυμένης οικογενείας. Με την μητερα του να ειναι σε ενα ψυχιατρείο. Όταν όμως άθελά του με τους φιλους του καλούν μια αρχαία σατανική οντότητα που είναι γνωστή ως The Blind One ενώ ψάχνονται με τη μαύρη μαγεία, προσπαθώντας να ξεφύγουν από την εγκόσμια ζωή τους Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ότι ο Μπρόντι, στέλνεται από τις αρχές να μείνει με τον θρήσκο Χριστιανό Θείο του. Πράγμα που δέν θα ήταν τόσο κακό, αν ο Μπρόντι δεν ήταν οπαδός και ακροατής αυτού του είδους «ΡΟΚ» μουσικής που διαλύει τα παιδικά μυαλά, και τα στρέφει προς την λατρεία του Σατανά.

Ένας παπάς ανακαλύπτει μέσα απο την βίβλο οτι ο αντίχριστος θα γεννηθεί την ημέρα των χριστουγένων κάπου στη μαδρίτη. Στην προσπάθεια του να σταματήσει το καταστροφικό γεγονός βρίσκει βοήθεια απο εναν φανατικό της "heavy metal" και έναν τηλεοπτικό παρουσιαστή, έτσι όλοι μαζί θα προσπαθήσουν να βρούν και να σκοτώσουν το μωρό

The intro to "Stump the Trunk" was composed by Mark Fain.

The series lasted 12 episodes, the winner being decided by online voters.

Headbangers Ball (also referred to as simply The Ball) was a music television program consisting of heavy metal music videos airing on MTV, MTV2 (its sister channel), MTV Australia, MTV Rocks (formerly known as MTV2 Europe), MTV Adria (the MTV subsidiary covering the former Yugoslavia), MTV Brand New, MTV Portugal, MTV Finland, MTV Arabia, MTV Norway, MTV Sweden, MTV Denmark, MTV Greece, MTV Türkiye, MTV Israel, MTV Hungary and MTV Japan. The show began on MTV on April 18, 1987,[1] playing heavy metal and hard rock music videos late at night, from both well-known and more obscure artists. The show offered (and became famous because of) a stark contrast to Top 40 music videos shown during the day. However, with the mainstream rise of alternative rock, grunge, pop punk and rap music in the 1990s, the relevance of Headbangers Ball came into question, and the show was ultimately canceled in 1995. Over eight years later, as new genres of heavy metal were gaining a commercial foothold and fan interest became unavoidable, the program was reintroduced on MTV2. It has remained in varying degrees on the network's website, but is no longer shown on television. Many of the videos that aired on the first incarnation of the series would find a home on the similarly themed Metal Mayhem on sister channel MTV Classic.
