Δύο χρόνια πριν τον Εμφύλιο Πόλεμο, στον αμερικάνικο Νότο, ο Django ένας σκλάβος που έχει υποφέρει τα πάνδεινα από τα πρώην αφεντικά του, εκπαιδεύεται σαν κυνηγός επικηρυγμένων από τον γερμανικής καταγωγής Dr. King Schultz που τον χρειάζεται για να εντοπίσει τους φονικούς αδερφούς Brittles. Οι δυο τους τα καταφέρνουν και είναι η σειρά του Django να ζητήσει τη βοήθεια του Dr. Schultz για να βρει την Broomhilda, την γυναίκα του που έχασε σε σκλαβοπάζαρο. Το 19ο αιώνα ένας Αμερικανός λοχαγός που πήρε μέρος στις σφαγές των Ινδιάνων ταξιδεύει στην Ιαπωνία, προκειμένου να εκπαιδεύσει τον τακτικό στρατό στα σύγχρονα όπλα. Αιχμαλωτίζεται από τους σαμουράι, μυείται στις συνήθειές τους και στέκει στο πλευρό τους, όταν συγκρούονται με τους άντρες του αυτοκράτορα.

Μία ετερόκλητη ομάδα ανθρώπων, που αποτελείται από κυνηγούς επικηρυγμένων, φυγάδων και ανθρώπων του νόμου, βρίσκουν καταφύγιο σε μια ορεινή στάση κατά τη διάρκεια μιας χιονοθύελλας και μπλέκονται σε μία πλεκτάνη προδοσίας και απάτης.

Βαθιά στην αχαρτογράφητη, άγρια φύση της Αμερικής, o κυνηγός Χιου Γκλας βρίσκεται βαριά τραυματισμένος και εγκαταλελειμμένος από ένα μέλος της ομάδας του, τον προδότη Τζον Φιτζέραλντ. Αυτό που θα καταφέρει να του δώσει ξανά τη δίψα για ζωή, είναι η παρουσία ενός νεαρού κοριτσιού, της Κλόντια. Έπειτα από 65 βασανιστικά χρόνια θα καταφέρει να ελευθερωθεί από τον Λεστάτ και μαζί με την Κλόντια θα ταξιδέψουν στην Ευρώπη. Το ταξίδι τους θα τους φέρει στο Παρίσι, όπου θ’ ανακαλύψουν το σκοτεινό μυστικό που τους στοιχειώνει.

Ο Τζον Κάρτερ ένας πρώην λοχαγός του αμερικανικού στρατού, κουρασμένος από τον πόλεμο, μεταφέρεται με ανεξήγητο τρόπο στον πλανήτη Άρη (Μπαρσούμ για τους γηγενείς), όπου θα βρεθεί μπλεγμένος σε μια επικών διαστάσεων διαμάχη μεταξύ των κατοίκων του πλανήτη, συμπεριλαμβανομένων του Ταρς Τάρκας και της σαγηνευτικής Πριγκίπισσας Ντέτζα Θόρις. The High Chaparral is an American Western-themed television series starring Leif Erickson and Cameron Mitchell which aired on NBC from 1967 to 1971. The series, made by Xanadu Productions in association with NBC Productions, was created by David Dortort, who had previously created the hit Bonanza for the network. The theme song was also written and conducted by Bonanza scorer David Rose, who also scored the two-hour pilot.

Laramie is an American Western television series that aired on NBC from 1959 to 1963. A Revue Studios production, the program originally starred John Smith as Slim Sherman, Robert Fuller as Jess Harper, Hoagy Carmichael as Jonesy and Robert L. Crawford, Jr., as Andy Sherman.

More than seventy episodes of this series were produced by Dick Powell's Four Star Television and filmed at the Desilu-Culver Studio. The series was itself a spin-off of Powell's anthology series, Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater.

Since 2011, the series is currently airing in the United States on the Retro Television Network as The New Zorro. Peter Rodgers Organization is the distributor for this version of Zorro.

The series initially starred veteran movie supporting actor Ward Bond as the wagon master, later replaced upon his death by John McIntire, and Robert Horton as the scout, subsequently replaced by lookalike Robert Fuller a year after Horton had decided to leave the series. The series was inspired by the 1950 film Wagon Master directed by John Ford and starring Ben Johnson, Harry Carey Jr. and Ward Bond, and harkens back to the early widescreen wagon train epic The Big Trail starring John Wayne and featuring Bond in his first major screen appearance playing a supporting role. Horton's buckskin outfit as the scout in the first season of the television series resembles Wayne's, who also played the wagon train's scout in the earlier film.

The Onedin Line is a BBC television drama series which ran from 1971 to 1980. The series was created by Cyril Abraham. The series is set in Liverpool from 1860 to 1886 and deals with the rise of a shipping line, the Onedin Line, named after its owner James Onedin. Around this central theme are the lives of his family, most notably his brother and partner, shop owner Robert, and his sister Elizabeth, giving insight into the lifestyle and customs at the time, not only at sea, but also ashore. The series also illustrates some of the changes in business and shipping, such as from wooden to steel ships and from sailing ships to steam ships. It shows the role that ships played in affairs like international politics, uprisings and the slave trade.

The Restless Gun is an American western television series that appeared on NBC between 1957 and 1959, with John Payne in the role of Vint Bonner, a wandering cowboy in the era after the American Civil War. A skilled gunfighter, Bonner is an idealistic person who prefers peaceful resolutions of conflict wherever possible. He is gregarious, intelligent, and public-spirited. The half-hour black-and-white program aired seventy-eight episodes. Jeanne Bates appeared in varying roles with Payne in five episodes of The Restless Gun. The Restless Gun theme song begins: "I ride with the wind, my eyes on the sun, and my hand on my restless gun..." The song composer is probably Paul Dunlap, credited as the primary series composer, but could have been contributed to by either of the two other series composers, Dave Kahn and Stanley Wilson, also. Two versions are currently posted on YouTube, but neither posting lists any composer or performance credits.

Law of the Plainsman is a Western television series starring Michael Ansara that aired on the NBC television network from October 1, 1959, until May 5, 1960. The character of Native American U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart was introduced in two episodes of the popular ABC Western television series The Rifleman starring Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain. Law of the Plainsman is distinctive and unique in that it was one of the few television programs that featured a Native American as the lead character, a bold move for U.S.network television at that time. Ansara had earlier appeared in the series Broken Arrow, having portrayed the Apache chief, Cochise. Ansara, however, was not Native American but of Syrian descent. Ansara played Sam Buckhart, an Apache Indian who saved the life of a U.S. Cavalry officer after an Indian ambush. When the officer died, he left Sam money that was used for an education at private schools and Harvard University. After school, he returned to New Mexico where he became a Deputy Marshal working for Marshal Andy Morrison. He lived in a boarding house run by Martha Commager. The only other continuing character was 8-year old Tess Logan, an orphan who had been rescued by Buckhart. Robert Harland, later of Target: The Corruptors! starred in seven episodes as Deputy Billy Lordan. Wayne Rogers, who went on to star in another Four Star western, Stagecoach West, and later, M*A*S*H, also played deputy Lordan in several episodes.

Have Gun – Will Travel is an American Western television series that aired on CBS from 1957 through 1963. It was rated number three or number four in the Nielsen ratings every year of its first four seasons. It was one of the few television shows to spawn a successful radio version. The radio series debuted November 23, 1958. The television show is presently shown on the Encore-Western channel. Have Gun – Will Travel was created by Sam Rolfe and Herb Meadow and produced by Frank Pierson, Don Ingalls, Robert Sparks, and Julian Claman. There were 225 episodes of the TV series, 24 written by Gene Roddenberry. Other contributors included Bruce Geller, Harry Julian Fink, Don Brinkley and Irving Wallace. Andrew McLaglen directed 101 episodes and 19 were directed by series star Richard Boone.

Ringgold, who tangled with Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and Buckskin Franklin Leslie.

The Texan was a Western television series starring popular B movie actor Rory Calhoun, which aired on the CBS television network from 1958 to 1960.
