Η ταινία Η Επίθεση των Τιτάνων: Η ΤΕΛΕΥΤΑΙΑ ΕΠΙΘΕΣΗ φέρνει τα δύο τελευταία επεισόδια της υψηλών κριτικών σειράς στην πρώτη της κινηματογραφική έξοδο με το επικό φινάλε σε μία κολοσσιαία ταινία. Αφού βρέθηκε πέρα από τα τείχη και αποχωρίστηκε από τους συντρόφους του, ο Έρεν βρίσκει τον εαυτό του να εμπνέεται από την νέα αλήθεια και σχεδιάζει το “Βουητό”, ένα τρομακτικό σχέδιο για να εξαφανίσει κάθε ζωή από τον κόσμο. Στον κόσμο των θεών τού θανάτου, ο Σινιγκάμι Ρυούκ αναπολεί την πιο ενδιαφέρουσα περίοδο της ζωής του. Όλα αυτά έγιναν πολλά χρόνια πριν. Το αστέρι τού σχολείου Λάιτ Γιαγκάμι βρίσκει ένα τετράδιο, το αποκαλούμενο “Τετράδιο Θανάτου”. Είναι το βιβλίο ενός θεού τού θανάτου, το οποίο έχει την απίστευτη δύναμη να σκοτώνει τους ανθρώπους, των οποίων το όνομα καταγράφεται σε αυτό. Αυτή η ανακάλυψη θολώνει τις γραμμές μεταξύ καλού και κακού για τον φανατικό τής δικαιοσύνης και σύντομα φιλοδοξεί να γίνει ο θεός ενός άνευ εγκληματικότητος κόσμου τής δικής του δημιουργίας. Αλλάζει μεταξύ των ρόλων τού “Κίρα” του σωτήρα και δικαστή των εγκληματιών και τού Λάιτ, τού βοηθητικού και έξυπνου νέου, που βοηθά τον αντίπαλό του, ιδιωτικό ερευνητή L, να πιάσει τον Κίρα.

Μετά τον θάνατο τού Ρυουζάκι, τίποτα δεν είναι όπως πριν. Ο Λάιτ μπαίνει στην αστυνομία και προσποιείται ότι είναι ο L, ώστε να συνεχίσει την έρευνα τού Κίρα. Από την άλλη, συνεχίζει να σκοτώνει με τον Μικάμι ως πρωτοπαλλήκαρό του. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο ο Λάιτ τα βρίσκει εύκολα και ο ιδανικός τού κόσμος όπου είναι θεός, πλησιάζει ολοένα και περισσότερο στην εκπλήρωσή του. Όμως, δύο ακόμα είναι ενήμεροι για τον θάνατο του L. Ο Μέλλο και ο Νίαρ, και οι δύο έρχονται ως πιθανοί διάδοχοι τού L. O Nίαρ δημιουργεί μία ειδική ομάδα κατά του Κίρα και σύντομα βρίσκει την ίδια λύση που είχε βρει ο L. Ο Λάιτ πρέπει να είναι ο Κίρα! Η υποψία αυτή προκαλεί στην ειδική επιτροπή αμφιβολίες και ο Λάιτ είναι και πάλι υπό εποπτεία. Μα, δεν θα είχε φτάσει τόσο μακριά, αν σταματούσε τόσο εύκολα στα εμπόδια.
