Μεταφέροντας τη δράση πλέον έξω από το δάσος και μέσα στην πόλη, η ταινία αφηγείται μια διεστραμμένη ιστορία δύο αποξενωμένων αδερφών, της Έλι και της Μπεθ, η επανένωση των οποίων διακόπτεται από την άνοδο των δαιμόνων που κυριεύουν τα σώματα των θυμάτων τους και τις ωθούν σε μία αρχέγονη μάχη επιβίωσης καθώς αντιμετωπίζουν την πιο εφιαλτική εκδοχή οικογένειας, όπως μπορεί να φανταστεί κανείς.

Την ημέρα που γίνεται όμως η τεχνητή γονιμοποίηση, η Ζόι συναντάει τον Σταν έναν άνδρα που πληροί όλες τις «προϋποθέσεις»!
