Ο κύριος Ντιντς, ιδιοκτήτης πιτσαρίας, είναι ένας αξιαγάπητος και συνηθισμένος άνθρωπος... αν εξαιρέσουμε τη μανία του να απαγγέλλει στους πελάτες του τα πρωτότυπα ξεκαρδιστικά του στιχάκια, πράγμα που τον έχει κάνει εξαιρετικά δημοφιλή στη μικρή επαρχιακή κωμόπολη. Τα προβλήματά του αρχίζουν όταν, χωρίς να το περιμένει, γίνεται κληρονόμος μιας τεράστιας περιουσίας: 40 δισ. δολάρια, ένας όμιλος media, μια ομάδα ποδοσφαίρου, μια ομάδα μπάσκετ, ένα ελικόπτερο, ένα σπίτι-ανάκτορο και ένας... μπάτλερ! Θα περίμενε κανείς ότι θα κολυμπούσε στην ευτυχία, όμως εκείνος είναι τελείως... έξω από τα νερά του!
