Newly-married Rebecca leaves her husband's Alsatian bed on her prized motorbike - symbol of freedom and escape - to visit her lover in Heidelberg. En route she indulges in psychedelic reveries as she relives her changing relationship with the two men.
Monsieur Eloy, his wife and their ten-year-old son, Zizi, are off to their country home for the weekend. When they arrive, the two men settle into the garden, while Madame gets down to her cooking. When an embassy official and his wife invite themselves for lunch, the whole household is in an uproar.
Police inspector, Landais is caught in a tough situation. Daniele has murdered her husband, yet after the inspector starts investigating the case, he is completely overcome by her. Her obvious attractions have him in thrall and eventually he realizes he will do anything not to lose her. His solution is to cover up for her crime, after which things begin to go poorly.
