The story revolves around the hatred between two step sisters, Nadya & Irina, who are in love with the same man, Igor. Blinded by jealousy and hatred towards Nadya, Irina frames her in a murder and separates her from Igor. However, Nadya returns to expose Irina and win back her love and respect.

It is July 1941, and the Nazis are advancing towards Kyiv. A special squad is tasked with investigating major cases by acting both at the frontline and in the city itself, where rising criminals are joining German subversives in infiltrating the city, while a number of Soviet government representatives are happily profiting from other people’s misery.

Nothing holds Assia Demidova to her native village anymore: her mother, the last person who was dear to her, has recently died, leaving Assia completely alone.

The spouses of Vera and Viktor Novikova are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. At the celebration, they invited Vera's sister, Nina, and her fiancé, Igor, to their home. This is a four-part drama following the story of Yegor and Nastya. He is the son of a jailed criminal and she is an artist desperate to give her caring love to somebody who could appreciate it. After a divorce from her husband, Nastya’s dream of becoming a mother crumble to pieces. Her only chance is adoption and Yegor is the perfect boy for her… There is only one problem, the boy is being monitored by the mob.
