Mit großem äußerem Aufwand, aber dramaturgisch enttäuschend inszeniert, süßlich-sentimental, ohne Erhellung des zeitgeschichtlichen Phänomens, daß sich nach dem frühen Tod Valentinos in den USA ein extrem hysterischer Starkult herausgebildet hat.
