Misuzu Moritani ist eine schüchterne und in sich gekehrte Oberschülerin, der es am liebsten ist, wenn man sie gar nicht erst anspricht. Unerklärlicherweise besitzt sie die Gabe, die Zeit für drei Minuten anzuhalten. Diese nutzt sie gern, um unangenehmen Situationen zu entkommen. Wie eben jetzt, als sie nach einem aufdringlichen Versuch, mit ihr ins Gespräch zu kommen, auf den Schulhof flieht. Dort bemerkt sie die hübsche Haruka, wie sie gerade auf einer Bank sitzt und ein Buch liest, und da die Welt eh gerade stillsteht, kann sie der Versuchung nicht widerstehen, ihr unter den Rock zu schauen. Überrascht muss sie feststellen, dass Haruka von ihrer Fähigkeit überhaupt nicht betroffen ist und den Vorfall auch noch erstaunlich gelassen sieht. Stattdessen entwickelt Haruka sogar ein gewisses Interesse an Misuzu.
