25. April 1915: Abertausende Menschen sind schon an der Canakkale-Front gestorben, die Situation gerät immer mehr außer Kontrolle. Über den Seeweg erfolglos, versucht der Feind nun, den Krieg an Land zu gewinnen. Die beiden türkischen Infanterie-Soldaten Muhsin (Gürkan Uygun) und sein Bruder Hasan (Umut Kurt) gehören der Hilal-i-Ahmer-Truppe an und gelangen mit dieser am 25. Mai 1915 an die Front. Muhsin gelingt es, einen feindlichen Scharfschützen zu töten und so wird er von Hauptmann Ibrahim Adil (Fikret Yıldırım Urağ) seinerseits zum Scharfschützen befördert. Während Muhsin nun dafür eingesetzt wird, hochdekorierte Besatzungssoldaten zu eliminieren, wird Hasan für die Truppenversorgung mit Waffen und Munition an der Front gebraucht. Im Laufe des Krieges macht Muhsin sich einen Namen als grandioser Scharfschütze, so dass der feindliche Major Stewart seinen besten Mann auf ihn ansetzt: William Eagle (Ben Warwick).
Der Pilot Kapitän Salih Ekrem ist ein junger Luftwaffeoffizier und einer der ersten osmanischen Piloten. Er verlor seine Frau bei der Geburt seiner kleinen Tochter Gülmelek. Im Februar 1915, zum Zeitpunkt der ersten Angriffe durch die britische Flotte, bringt Salih Ekrem die kleine Gülmelek bei ihrer Großmutter unter und verlässt Istanbul, um nach Gallipoli zu gehen und „eines der ersten Flugzeuge“ zu fliegen
