Rystet holder de en pause, men dade kører videre, får de øje på van’en parkeret ved en ældgammel kirkeruin. Lynhurtigt vender Darry bilen, men varevognen er som sunket i jorden. Da de inspicerer ruinen, opdager de en rørledning, der fører ned i jorden. Trish holder fast i hans fødder mens han undersøger røret, men pludselig smutter hendes hænder og han begynder at glide. Rutchebaneturen stopper brat i en hvælving. Gulvet er dækket med lig. Nøgne, maltrakterede kroppe. Nogle med manglende lemmer. Andre flænset og nødtørftigt lappet sammen igen…
