Television series for children about an old inventor.

In the 26th century the inhabitants of Utopia have so lost their individuality, which varies in number. They live in glass houses (this was written before the invention of television), which allows the political police, called “Keepers” can easily supervise them. They all wear the same uniform and usually turn to each other or as a ”cipher-so” or "UNIFEM" (uniform). They feed on artificial food and rest hour marching in fours in a row the anthem of the One State, pouring out of the loudspeakers. When a lion is in urgent need of an ice-cream, Tom sets out to buy it, but he leaves his things in the cage. The guards think he was eaten by the lion and overall panic follows. The town of Dryland has been without rain for five months. Daniel the cloud, in charge of delivering rain to the town, is on holiday and no one can find him. A delegation of citizens go to Professor Balthazar for help. He invents a cloud tracer and sets out to find Daniel.

Professor Balthazar rests in the mountains in the winter, and at the seaside in the summer, where he meets friends. His vacation is active. His ingenious invention will protect his friend Hans’s mountain village from an avalanche, which will in turn solve the problem of his other friend, from the coast.

Sylvester is a master tailor. He designs only masterpieces. When his sister Vivian gets unstoppable hiccups, shaking everything around them, Sylvester’s job is in danger. With humour, Professor Balthazar solves this case too and Balthazartown gets a new, singing train engine.

Two aspiring filmmakers walk through Hamburg with a camera operator and a sound operator. From the time they get out bed to their encounter with a production manager, they are harassed by an intermittent white dot.
