Rupa, a rich girl, is unexpectedly pregnant, and in Bangladesh she needs to get married before she can have a baby. But her journalist boyfriend, who is pursuing a political case, has no time for her. Rupa's mother lives in the United States with her emigrated brother and cancer-stricken father, and they want Rupa to emigrate to the United States as soon as possible to join them. The latest film by Bangladeshi filmmaker Kamal Ahmed Simon, an architect by training, was awarded the World Cinema Fund grant at the Berlin Film Festival. The film has a unique artistic perspective, the hero and heroine are not completely justified, they have the perseverance of the "watchers", but also the confusion of the "bystanders", and finally pushed to the edge of the edge of no way back, the free explosion, but also touching.

Reality is a perception and it changes with perspective. Every individual who falls victim to a fatal accident is a character in their own right, but reduced to a mere number in the media! Inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s ‘Rashomon’, ‘Testimony of a Thread’ is a monologue collage in search of a face behind the numbers of the deadliest structural failure accident in modern human history.
