تدور أحداث الفيلم حول الحرب العالمية الثانية، حيث يكتشف الفتى (جوجو) والذي يخدم في جيش (هتلر) أن والدته (روزي) تُخبئ فتاة يهودية في منزلهم، ويسعى (جوجو) لإخفاء الأمر عن الجميع.
