ين تعيش سندريلا مع والديها إلى أن توفيت والدتها. عاشت سندريلا مع والدها الذي لطالما أحبها كثيرا وأحبته هي الأخري، ذات يوم أراد الأب أن يشعر ابنته بوجود أما تشعرها بالحنان فقرر الزواج من إمرأة من عائلة كبيرة ولديها ابنتان من نفس عمر سندريلا، في البداية كانت تعامل سندريلا بلطف، حتى توفى والدها، وظهرت زوجة الاب على حقيقتها القاسية، حيث بدأت تعامل سندريلا كأنها خادمة لها وﻹبنتيها. سندريلا المسكينة عانت مرارة فقدان والدها والمعاملة القاسية التي تعرضت لها ، إلا إنها لم يعد يتبقا لها أحد إلا بعض العصافير والفئران الذين أصبحوا اصدقائها فيساعدونها باعمال البيت والتنظيف.

في نهاية فصل الشتاء تدفع قوة خفية بالجني اللطيف (تينكربيل) لدخول غابة الشتاء المحرمة، وتقوي طبيعته الفضولية من تلك الرغبة، ويقابل في الغابة جني الصقيع (بيري وينكل) الذي يملك القدرة على حل لغز الأجنحة الغامض، ويخوضان مغامرة مثيرة تحدد مصير عالمهم، وفي ذات الوقت تواجه الجنية (بيكسي) تهديدًا لايمكن مواجهته إلا باتحاد الجماعة فهل سينجحون؟

(فون) جنية مرحة وذكية، تؤمن أنه لا يمكن للمرء الحكم على جواب من عنوانه، ولا على حيوان من أنيابه، لذا تصادق وحشًا عملاقًا غامضًا يعرف باسم (الوحش الأبدي)، بينما صديقتها (تينكربيل) وصديقاتها الأخريات من الجنيات لسن متأكدات تمامًا من هذه الإضافة الجديدة لغابتهم (بيكسي هولو)، ويخططن لأسر هذا الوحش قبل أن يدمر مكان معيشتهن، والآن يجب على (فون) أن تثق بقلبها وعقلها، وأن تتحلى ببعض الثقة حين تقرر أن تسبق الجنيات وتنقذ الوحش.

بعد أن وجد الأمير فتاة أحلامه سندريلّا التي كانت معه في الحفل واختفت فجأة، يتزوجها و يعيشان قصةً رومانسيةً رائعةً في القصر برفقه والده الملك. تعاني سندريلّا في أيامها الأولى من العادات والتقاليد الملكية التي لم تعتدها، وتتعلم كيف تصبح أميرة في طريقة كلامها و تحركاتها. لكن سندريلّا في الوقت ذاته لا تتخلى عن صحبة أصدقائها القدامى، بل إنها حتى تساعد واحدة من بنات زوجة أبيها المزعجات في إيجاد الحب الحقيقي.

تدور أحداث الفيلم حول لعبة خشبية اسمها بنوكيو، التي قام بصنعها صانع الألعاب جيبيتو، الذي يتمنى أن تدب الحياة في بنوكيو، حيث يتم تحقيق هذه الأمنية من قبل جنية زرقاء جميلة وعندها تبدأ المغامرة.

عندما تجد تينكر بيل نفسها محاصرة فى بيت، تصادق طفلة صغيرة تؤمن بالجنيات بينما تبذل الجنيات الأخرى قصارى جهدها لإنقاذها.
